Miss Jolly Mutesi crowned the ‘Best Motivational speaker’ at Zikomo Africa award

Miss Rwanda 2016, Mutesi Jolly, is only a Rwandan nominee who won an award at the Zikomo Africa Awards in Zambia.

The former judge to Miss Rwanda, has won the ‘Best Zikomo Motivation Speaker’, in a category that she competed with other influential speakers in Africa.

Other nominees in the Mutesi’s category include; Simon Ssenkaayi from Kenya, Timothy Zambia from Zambia, Paul Magola from Tanzania and Epi Mabika from Zimbabwe.

The award ceremony took place on Saturday 18 November 2023 and was marking its third edition.

There is a category that saw a Rwandan comedian Patrick Rusine, who competed in the category of ‘Best Zikomo Radio Personality Of The Year Southern And East Africa 2023’ but he could not be crowned.

Another Rwandan, Jean Jacques Wilson Nshobozwabyosenumukiza who was competing in the ‘Best Zikomo Sport Person Of The Year 2023’ category and artists Kenny So who competed in the ‘Best Zikomo Collaboration Song’ with his song ‘One More Time’, that he featured Harmonize also received nothing.

Similarly, Rwanda’s Prof Agnes Binagwaho, former Director General of UGHE University (University of Global Health Equity), located in Butaro who was nominated in the ‘Best Zikomo Inspirational Woman Of The Year 2023’ missed the award as well.

Meanwhile, other Rwandan contestants in the award including, Dj Alisha, Singer Bruce Melody and the Rwanda’s “Bishop family” Tv series were not honored.

Zikomo Africa Awards has built a reputation for the unwavering recognition and promotion to the best African performers in various fields including; entertainment, lifestyle, fashion, sports and many more.
