Bruce Melodie met Shaggy prior to US tour

Rwandan Singer Itahiwacu Bruce known as Bruce Melodie has arrived in United States and met the international music icon, Shaggy who both recently collaborated on a song remix, ‘When She’s Around’.

Bruce jetted in US where he is expected to perform in the ‘iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour’, the concerts organized by iHeart Radio in partnership with Capital One Financial Institution. Bruce and Shaggy will perform together in the concerts.

The collaboration between the two artists came to existence after Shaggy had liked the Melody’s hit “Funga macho” which the Jamaican singer sought to remix with Melody.
The remix saw dominance of English lyrics which impacted to rename it ” When she’s around”, instead of ” Funga macho”.

Notably, the two artists had not met in person yet, they virtually recorded the song and did all jobs without meeting.

In a short video and photo that Bruce Melodie shared with his followers, he captioned saying he is’ discussing projects with shaggy and expressed happiness to meet him”.

The tour is slated to start on November 26 until December 16, 2023. Bruce Melodie and Shaggy will perform in just two sets from today, November 28th in Dallas, at Dickies Arena, with other artists such as Flo Rida, AleXa, Big Time Rush and others.

These artists will return to perform on December 16, 2023 in the city of Miami at the Amerant Bank Arena which can receive more than 20 thousand people.

The concerts will be held in 10 cities, and artists including Usher, Olivia Rodrigo, Nicki Minaj, SZA, Niall Horan, One Republic, AJR, Sabrina Carpenter, Flo Rida, Melanie Martinez, David Kushner are expected to perform.

Orville Richard Burrell CD better known by his stage name Shaggy, is a Jamaican-American reggae rapper, singer, and songwriter. Shaggy released many hits like, ‘It wasn’t me’ , ‘Angel’ , ‘Summertime’, ‘Boombastic’ and more.

He made collaboration with many international artists, and has been nominated for seven Grammy Awards, and won twice for Best Reggae Album.
