ZACU TV, in partnership with CANAL+, has unveiled an exciting lineup of new Rwandan series and films set for release in 2025. Among them is a musical film featuring the beloved artist Juno Kizigenza.

It was announced at an event on September 27, 2024, attended by various individuals, including executives from Canal+ Rwanda, ZACU Entertainment, ZACU TV, prominent figures in Rwandan cinema, and several partners.

Cédric Pierre-Louis, Director of Programming at ZACU TV, announced that in 2025, the network will focus on producing projects centered on youth stories. Notably, for the first time in Rwanda, they will create films and series featuring musical narratives.

He said, “As ZACU TV prepares to celebrate its second anniversary, we are excited to present the projects that Rwandans have embraced. We are pleased to announce that, for the first time, ZACU TV viewers will enjoy films that feature youth stories and music.”

Cédric Pierre-Louis also announced that ZACU TV has recently signed an agreement with NBC Universal, one of the major studios in Hollywood. For the first time, Rwandans will be able to watch some of the most popular films from around the world, all in Kinyarwanda.

Wilson Misago, CEO of ZACU Entertainment, which produces various Rwandan films, announced that he is pleased to share that the series “Seburikoko” will be returning, particularly in a new format on ZACU TV.

He said, “Well, ‘Seburikoko’ is back, and it’s exciting to have it in a new format on ZACU TV’s screens.”

Sophie TCHATCHOUA, the General Manager of CANAL+ RWANDA, expressed her pride in the progress that ZACU TV has made. She noted that the customers of this broadcasting company particularly enjoy watching ZACU TV and that the channel was established to further promote stories produced in Rwanda.

She concluded by reminding fans of Rwandan cinema that all the projects featured on ZACU TV can be watched anytime using the CANAL+ application.

When ZACU TV was launched in 2022, it promised viewers a channel exclusively in Kinyarwanda that would broadcast a selection of the best movies and TV series produced in Rwanda and beyond.

At the dawn of a new chapter, ZACU TV has quickly become one of Rwanda’s favorite channels, fulfilling its foundational pledge and living up to its ambitions.

In the upcoming months, ZACU TV will bring “Shuwa Dilu” Seasons 3 and 4, “Kaliza wa Kalisa” Season 3, “Hurts Harder,” “Red Flag,” “Fame is the Enemy,” “My Father-in-Law,” “Seburikoko” Seasons 33 and 34, and “A Christmas in Kigali.”

“Fame of the Enemy” featuring Juno Kizigenza shows how chasing fame can lead to self-destruction. It talks about the false promise of groly and how it can hurt people.

ZACU TV is available on channels 3, 38, and 390 on CANAL+ decoders, starting from a subscription fee of 5,000 RWF, known as ‘IKAZE.’
