NESA announces date for students to go for holidays

The National Examination and School Inspection Authority, NESA, has announced the date when the boarding students will start going home for the first term holidays of the academic year 2023-2024.

On Tuesday, December 12, NESA communicated on X, the schedule that will be followed to arrange the movement of students from their respective school to their homes.

According to NESA, students will travel home for holidays from December 19 to December 22. Meanwhile, on December 19, the students studying in district of Nyarugenge, Gasabo, and Kicukiro in Kigali City, Nyanza and Kamonyi of the Southern Province, and Ngororero of the Western Province will initially go to their homes for the first term holidays.

Similarly students from districts of Musanze and Burera in the Northern Province will also go, as well as those from Nyagatare and Gatsibo districts of the Eastern Province.

On December 20, students from Ruhango and Gisagara districts of the Southern Province will also go home from boarding school, the same with students from Nyabihu and Rubavu of the Western Province, Rulindo and Gakenke of the Northern Province, and students from Rwamagana and Kayonza of the Eastern Province.

NESA continues to say that on December 21 is for students from Nyaruguru and Huye Districts of the Southern Province, Rusizi and Nyamasheke of the Western Province, and Gicumbi District will return to their homes.

On that date, students studying in Ngoma and Kirehe districts in the Eastern Province will also go home.

December 22nd is also the last date for travel of boarding students. There will be students studying in Muhanga and Nyamagabe in the Southern Province, those studying in Karongi and Rutsiro Districts of the Western Province, and those studying in Bugesera District.
