Feeding Futures: Nufashwa Yafasha and Jibu Rwanda Partner for Nursery Nutrition

Nufashwa Yafasha Organization announced a new partnership with Jibu Rwanda on Friday, September 20, 2024, aimed at enhancing its school feeding program at Nufashwa Yafasha Nursery School by ensuring that students have access to potable drinking water and healthy breakfast porridge.

The partnership was established as part of Nufashwa Yafasha’s broader mission to support underprivileged children in Rwanda through initiatives focused on education, nutrition, and community empowerment.

This collaboration aims to provide daily nutritious meals and clean drinking water to the students at the school, ensuring they receive the essential nutrients necessary for their growth, health, and academic success.

The school feeding program will include regular servings of porridge and safe, clean drinking water, tackling critical issues of hunger and malnutrition that can impede the cognitive and physical development of young learners

Jean Paul Bujyacyera, a journalist at ISANGO STAR and the founder of Nufashwa Yafasha, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are thrilled to partner with Jibu Rwanda. Their commitment to providing affordable and safe drinking water perfectly aligns with our goal to ensure that every child has access to the necessities that support both their health and education. Together, we hope to continue fostering a brighter future for the next generation.”

This collaboration marks a significant step in Nufashwa Yafasha’s efforts to tackle food insecurity and promote healthy development in early childhood education.

It also highlights Jibu Rwanda’s growing role in community-building efforts by making clean water and sustainable nutrition more accessible across Rwanda.

Richard Iranzu, Senior Franchise Development and Compliance Officer for Jibu Rwanda, and Brenda Cyuzuzo, Marketing and Communication Officer, represented the organization at the ceremony held in the Ngarama Sector of the Gatsibo region. They praised the activities of Nufashwa Yafasha and emphasized that the collaboration will continue to promote their products and highlight their importance for health.

The school will collaborate with Jibu Franchisee Ingabire Mary from Kabarore in the Gatsibo District, who was also present at the ceremony.

The school feeding program is expected to positively impact the lives of over 100 children enrolled in the nursery school, while the expansion project is also underway.”
