FERWAFA suspends finance chief over alleged Rwf 406m fraud
The Rwanda Football Association (FERWAFA) has suspended its Director of Finance and Administration, Peggy Kagwire, over allegations of financial misappropriation involving Rwf406 million.
Sources within FERWAFA say the alleged misappropriation occurred between 2023 and 2025, when Kagwire was responsible for the federation’s finance and administration.
They allege she worked alongside former FERWAFA Secretary General Camarade Adolphe Kalisa, who is currently before court on charges of embezzlement and forgery, to authorize the release of the funds.
The FERWAFA Executive Committee suspended Kagwire to avoid possible interference with an ongoing investigation.
