Karisimbi Events unveils date for awards ceremony
The renowned Karisimbi Events has recently announced the date and venue of the Karisimbi Entertainment Awards 2023. The awards aim to thank and honor those who have contributed to the development of the entertainment industry in Rwanda throughout the year.
Every year, Karisimbi Event organizes a ceremony to honor artists, journalists, celebrities on social media, radio and television programs, and other personalities who show contribute to advancement of Rwandan Show business and creative industry.
For 2023, Karisimbi Event is back in usual context and currently, voting for the nominees started on November 8 until the deadline on November 30, 2023, at midnight.
The management of Karisimbi Events announces that 60% of the online voters and 40% of the judges’ votes will be considered in deciding the winners.
Emmanuel Mugisha, the Director of Karisimbi Events, told Rwanda Sun that on December 16, 2023, the award ceremony will take place at ONOMO Hotel to award the most outstanding contestants.
Mugisha states that the entry fee for the event is Rwf10,000 per an individual and Rwf50,000 for a table of six people.
Some of the categories have nominees to be awarded include:
– Best Male Artist: Chriss Eazy, Juno Kizigenza, Danny Nanone, Kenny Sol, Bruce Melodie, and Christopher.
– Best New Artist: Fifi Raya, Shemi, Da Rest, Jowest, Manike, Karigombe, SKY 2, and Yago Pon Dat.
– Video Director of the Year: Fayzo Pro and Gad.
– Entertainment Radio Show of the Year: The Evening Drive of Flash FM, Power Extra on Power FM.
– Best Photography of the Year: Dodos Image, Dream Hills Photography, and Tumaine
– Protocol of the Year: Sawa Protocol, Kigali Protocol, Umukindo Protoco, Common Bridge Protocol & Services, and Urugero Service and Protocol.
– Best Stage Performer: Sender Hit, Bushali, Riderman, Platin P, and Bruce Melodie.
Notably, there are others categories that were not mentioned in the article.
