Ghanian footballer passed away during the match
A Ghanaian international football player, Raphael Dwamena, 28, who was playing for Egnatia Club in the Albanian League, died after collapsing on the pitch in the 24th minute, after suffering a heart attack that he was already suffering from but had refused to stop playing.
On this Saturday, November 11, the Agnatia FC team played against Partizani in the Albanian Superliga. At the 23rd minute of the game, Raphael Dwamena collapsed suddenly due to heart attack, but the rescuers found him already dead.
The Ghana Football Federation wrote on social media that they are shocked by the death of Raphael and are with his family in such a difficult time.
The Albanian Football Association made decision to cancel all matches scheduled in this weekend.
