Gatsibo: Underprivileged kids celebrate Christmas with Nufashwa Yafasha

The Nufashwa Yafasha organization, a Rwandan non-profit and non-government organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged communities, celebrated Christmas a special joyful party with children from needy families and provided them with gifts in Ngarama community center on Saturday, December 23, 2023.

The event aimed at having fun with kids and ushering them in festive season by sharing food, festive cheer and providing a much-needed day of joy for the children.

Over 200 children from different parts of Ngarama attended the party, along with their parents and caregivers.

The Nufashwa Yafasha team organized a variety of activities to keep the children entertained including playing games, music, dancing, and face painting. There was also a delicious Christmas feast, with plenty of food and drinks to go around.

The highlight of the event was the arrival of Santa Claus, who brought gifts for all the children. The children’s faces lit up with excitement as they received their presents, which included toys, clothes, and food supplies.

“We are so grateful to Nufashwa Yafasha for organizing this wonderful party for our children,” said one parent. “It means so much to us to see them having so much fun and to know that someone cares about them.”

The Nufashwa Yafasha Christmas party was a success in every way. It brought joy and laughter to the children of Ngarama and provided them with a happy memory to cherish during the holiday season.

Nufashwa Yafasha Organization is a Rwandan non-profit organization and non-government organization that works to empower underprivileged communities through education, healthcare, and economic development initiatives.

The organization was founded in 2014 by Rwandan Journalist Jean Paul BUJYACYERA also known as Gutermann Guter who wanted to make a difference in the lives of their fellow citizens and give back to his native community.

Nufashwa Yafasha has some ongoing projects in Ngarama, including a provision of free nursery school, a women’s saving group, and youth clubs. The organization also provides financial assistance to families in need and supports local businesses.
