Construction works of Kigali Green Complex underway, Rwanda Sun has learnt
The construction works of the new skyscraper in Rwanda, Kigali Green Complex ( KGC) has commenced according to a credible observation by Rwanda Sun.
Kigali Green Complex will be the first ever Gold rated LEED Green, well and smart mix-use complex on the Land of Thousands Hills.
The 29 storeys building is being built by the Ultimate Developers Ltd (UDL), making it the tallest building in Rwanda upon its completion and surpassing the current Kigali City Tower (KCT) and Grand Pension Plaza of only 20 storeys.
The UDL has established itself as a market leader in Rwanda’s real estate industry with ambitions and clear vision of transforming Rwanda’s housing ecosystem.
The building is spearheaded by the Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) . It is located at the former premises of the French cultural center near the main roundabout in Kigali City, along the road leading to Payage.
When Rwanda Sun visited the construction site, workers who were putting the fence to enclose the site revealed that it is a great pride to Rwandans for possessing a such mega building in their fast-raising capital.
” It will improve the image of the city. The visitors will find impressions in the city and attract investors as well”. Said a worker at the site.
He also acknowledged that the construction works is employing many Rwandans including him and impacting their living.
Rwanda Sun talked to Alain Tuyishime, a communication officer at the Ultimate Developers and confirmed that the construction works has begun but said that further information will be communicated in the coming month.
Earlier this year, Director General of RSSB, Regis Mugemanshuro said that the project will be a symbolic eco-friendly feature, modernity and will be an extraordinary addition to Kigali City.
Notably, there are other coming soon tall buildings that are mushrooming in in the city such as; Kigali Financial Center (KFC), Umuyenzi City Center as well as the Inzovu Mall.
