CECAFA: Amavubi U-18 starts well
Rwanda Football national Team U-18, Amavubi, have started well the CECAFA tournament in Kenya after beating Somalia U-18, 1-0.
On this Saturday, November 25 at 11:00 am (Kigali Time), at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium there was a match between Amavubi U-18 and Somalia U-18.
It is the first match in the CECAFA U-18 Tournament of 2023.
In the 45th minute, the Amavubi scored the first goal scored by Sibomana Bobo Sultan, but in the first half, at the 38th minute of the game, the Rwandan goalkeeper was sent off due to receiving a red card.
The match ends with win of Amavubi U-18, as beats 1-0 Somalia.
It is scheduled that Amavubi U-18 will return on the pitch next Monday, November 27, playing against Kenya.
This time CECAFA is played by 8 countries, Rwanda is in group A and play at Kisumu Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium, other teams in this group are Kenya, Sudan and Somalia.
While The Group B contains Teams of Tanzania, Zanzibar, South Sudan and Uganda play at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.
The top two teams from each group will play the Semi-finals scheduled on December 5 in Kisumu.
