At least five coaches have parted ways with clubs in the Rwanda’s PPL so far

In among 16 Head coaches who started with teams in the Rwanda’s Primus National League, five of them have already left their teams, before the first phase of the season ends.

The season that started on August 18 have witnessed splits between coaches and the team. Some couches decided to resign while there are others who were sucked over bad performance. Below, we are listing five couches who have exited from their respective teams.

1. Yamen Zelfani of Rayon Sport

The first coach who initially left was Tunisian Yamen Zelfani who was coaching the renowned Rayon Sport.

On October 8, Rayon Sports announced that it had parted ways with the coach Yamen Zelfani after failing to qualify the team for the CAF Confederation Cup groups. The team also accused him of failing to maintain good relationship with the players.

But the coach left the team with two cups in the cupboard including FERWAFA Super cup and the RNIT Iterambere fund cup.

Currently, Rayon Sports is coached by Mohamed Wade, who has taken over as Caretaker.

2. Hassan Muhire and Sunrise

On October 23, Sunrise FC announced that it had parted ways with Hassan Muhire, as the coach after failing make victories.

 3. Eric Nshimiyimana of Bugesera FC

On November 14th, Bugesera FC also announced that it had parted ways with Eric Nshimiyimana who was its coach.

At that time, Bugesera FC announced that it had had a mutual agreement with Eric Nshimiyimana,yet the results were very bad.

Now, Bugesera FC is coached by Burundian Tactician Francis Christian Haringingo.

4. Petros Koukouras and Kiyovu Sports

On November 21, Kiyovu Sports announced that they had parted ways with Greek coach Petros Koukouras.

Koukouras left Kiyovu Sports mainly due to the team’s financial troubles as was stated in a different press conference by the coach.

 5. Casa Mbugo André and AS Kigali

Coach Casa has left AS Kigali after financial problems that the team is reportedly facing.  Casa has already written a letter informing the leaders of AS Kigali that he leaving  the club due to the financial difficulties that have been occuring in the team.
