Ambassador Rwamucyo presents his credentials to the UN Secretary General

Ambassador Ernest Rwamucyo has presented his credentials to the UN Secretary-General, H.E. António Guterres, on Thursday, December 7, 2023.

On October 20, the Cabinet meeting held in Village Urugwiro had appointed Ambassador Ernest Rwamucyo as Permanent Ambassador of Rwanda to the United Nations, replacing Ambassador Claver Gatete who recently appointed as the Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission in Africa (UN ECA).

In a statement written on X, Amb. Ernest Rwamucyo expressed his honor to presenting his credentials to the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, and his responsibility to continue strengthening the partnership between Rwanda and the UN.

“Today, I had the honor of presenting my credentials to the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, as the Permanent Representative of Rwanda to the UN. I look forward to further strengthening the partnership between Rwanda and the UN,” said Ambassador Ernest Rwamucyo on X.

Ambassador Rwamucyo hold the responsibilities after serving as the Ambassador of Rwanda to Japan and representing the country in other countries, including Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
